There is a legend that the snow dogs who passed away earn a silver harness. When they cross the bridge, the moonlight glints off of these harnesses and creates the northern lights. My newest series, The Lights of My Life, pays homage to these beautiful lights and the things that live in their glow.
Each painting in this series was planned out starting first with the animal I want to paint, then thinking about the shape I want to create on the canvas, and finally what colors I'll use for the lights in each painting. I don't find myself restricted to reality and have enhanced some of the natural aurora colors and maybe even added some to the normal array offered by nature.
I hope you enjoy this series of art and I encourage you to collect. I'll be adding more to this series but starting the launch with five solid pieces of work. Thank you for stopping by and reading this and for supporting my work.
